Food Security
Intoduction : Integrated development focused on food security:
Many countries in Africa experience persistent poor development, characterised by increasing food insecurity. This is the case for a large number of countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.
AQUADEV’s activities focus on improving the food security (in the broadest sense) of the most vulnerable populations. The overall strategy that we promote includes, inter alia, the use of geographic and planning information systems and support for decentralisation through a planning, participatory and multisectoral approach.
The programmes carried out are multi-disciplinary, always involving activities in different sectors/subjects: agriculture, nutrition, fishing, farming, education, hydraulics, public health and environment.

- Participative diagnosis methods (APRM : Active Participative Research Method) and planning methods (APBO : Activity Planning by Objectives)

The programmes are multidisciplinary, always involving a different combination of activity
